We will be having a project at school and this is the first step–an ocular visit.
SAP(or Social Action Program) will make us, Fourth Year Students, make a certain program for a certain community. Some of the communities we visited are; GK Brgy. Tatalon Ph.1, Gk Brgy. Tatalon Ph.2, CDC, San Pedro Bautista-Maria Clara and San Pedro Bautista-Calamba. Different students from different sections will go to that community, research(thru interviews and observations), assess what is the needs of the community, and decide what community a section will choose and what program you will make for them.
I don’t know if you get it but.. yes.
Anyway, I went to school for like 7am earlier and I saw Izza! Yey for Izza, my friend. We went around and stuff. I saw other people as well, took pictures and gave the needed papers to my members(yes, I am their leader but I was never with them during the trip.) and all that stuff. We went there and started interviewing. As usual, I was never with my section and joined others. We(Nicolo, Therese and I, showing in the pictures later) went to a small house and met a tailor(mananahi) who makes rugs(basahan) and all. Actually I had fun, because Nicolo is the only one talking and I was there to take notes. I enjoyed it and after a while, we needed to go. We stayed there for about an hour, I reckon.
Well, I learned a lot this day. And I hope this visit can help myself and all other people as well. And I am also proud that Lourdes are doing this. You know, it will not benefit only the community a section will choose but also benefit the students(we are the ones who will make the project proposal, defend it and execute the project.). I really hope ours will be successful like the last batch of 4th year students.
